Hi, I am from Canada. I want to buy Electroneum so I sent ethereum to my crpytopia wallet. As soon as I sent it I realize that there is no pairing for Ethereum and Electroneum. I now have ethereum sitting in my exchange wallet in Cryptopia. Is there a way I will be able to buy electroneum with my ethereum? In my balance it shows an estimate amount of bitcoin that I have. If there is a way I will really appreciate if someone could walk me through the steps.

Thank you.

I have the exact same problem, seems a bit stupid for an exchange not to allow me to use the assets in my other balances.

Hey guys, you need to use your Ethereum to purchase BTC- Then use your BTC to purchase Electroneum. Just remember, Bitcoins are kind of like the US dollar, everything is compared to it, however in the crypto case you need Bitcoins to purchase the other coins.

Hope this helps:)

I tranferred Etherum to this site to buy Electroneum. I see you need to buy in Bitcoin.  Can you somehow convert or transfer Ethereum to Bitcoin on this site or do I need to transfer the Ethereum back to Coinbase and transfer back Bitcoin to this site?  Newbie here.

Exchange here your Ethereum for BTC and then with that bitcoins take Electroneum. Everything is possiblle to be done here, not back in Coinbase........

 1. Go to Exchange button( between CRYPTOPIA and Marketplace) then choose the pair ETH/BTC and sell your ETH for BTC

2. Voala... you have allready BTC

3. Now from the same button Exchange choose the BTC/ETN pair and buy ETN( Electroneum)

4. Voala..... you have allready Electroneum :)

Thank you OTrader75 but what do I put in the field labelled Price in BTC. I obviously know the amount I'm exchanging and the rest will automatically be calculated but what about the price box?

Pretty sure you can buy ETN with ETH on the ETN website. Probably the best route to go.

I also have the same problem. Have tried what's in the posts above here without success. I would like to buy ETN with ETH. Imagine buying BTC for my ETH, but how do I do this on Cryptopia? This is so frustrating. I've been trying to figure it out now for 4 hours :-(

Gotta love how fast prices change and the price on different exchanges. Bitcoin shows $14,395 on Coinbase, $14,432 on HODL, and  $13,291 on Cryptopia. WOW!

I transfered $2,000 from Coinbase at $728 for ETH.  One hour later it is worth only $640 each for ETH on Cryptopia. HODL still shows it at $690, and Coinbase has it at $694.  So you take a hit of ~$250 just taking it to Cryptopia Exchange since the sell price is a lot lower than other exchanges?  If doing this to end up buying ETN then you lose 2,777 ETN coins at the current price.

Thank you so much.  That, "click on ETH/BTC" did the job!  I still can't figure out why the ETH I sent 4 days ago by exactly the same method I used today, has never shown up.  I put in a support ticket.

I'm guessing that when I take a coin to bit coin at cryptopia I'll have to pay a fee then when I go to another coin I'll pay a fee again.  Kind of sucks right.

Hi Yoashdon: There is no ETH/BTC button, when you sell ETH you get equivalent BTC, with fee adjustment. This is not intuitive and could be much easier than it is on Cryptopia.

Ok I finally figured it out. I made the same noob mistake transferring ETH to buy ETN. Follow these steps on how to sell your ETH for BTC so you can buy Electroneum ETN:

  1. Go to Exchanges page
  2. On top left corner you have 5 currency options BTC, USDT, NZDT, LTC, DODGE (Should automatically defeault to BTC but if not:)
  3. Click on the BTC (bitcoin) - it will be highlighted gray
  4. below there will be a column of all currencies
  5. click on ETH (ethereum) and the Buy ETH on the left and Sell ETH on the Right box/charts will come up
  6. on the Sell ETH box on the right it should show your avail ETH amount highlighted blue
  7. click on the blue highlighted amount and it should pop up in the amount column in the sell box (if that doesnt work click on the ETH amount box or manually type it in)
  8. click on the price box in the sell box and it should populate the BTC amount
  9. press Sell ETH (a message should pop up in the bottom left corner "success" or something like that)
  10. go to Exchange and Open Orders
  11. click on Balances on the left side
  12. if you dont have BTC saved as your favorite go to search on top right corner and type in BTC (bitcoin)
  13. BTC will come up with the amount you've sold your eth for BTC

LETS GET RICH!!!
