Fee on withdrawal of Bitcoins

I withdrew 0.0058472 bitcoins, on that a fee of 0.002 bitcoins was charged. That's like 34% comission for withdrawal. How's that ?

I withdrew 0.0058472 bitcoins, on that a fee of 0.002 bitcoins was charged. That's like 34% comission for withdrawal. How's that ?

 You knew what the fee would be BEFORE you withdrew because it is stated on the withdrawal form that you filled out.

anyway the fee goes to paying the miners to process your withdrawal, if you look up your withdrawal on a blockexplorer you will see the fee being paid, you will also notice that blockchain is again overloaded so the only way that withdrawals will be processed soonish is by paying a higher fee.  Other exchanges might pay less at this time which is then why people start complaining about their deposits not arriving.

I suggest spend the time waiting learning the basics of how bitcoin and fees work, there are loads of resources on the web.

 not true. other exch charge 0.001 BTC and they arrive as fast, if not faster

 Is fee 0.002 bitcoins fix for any withdrawqal amount or varies as per withdrawal amout.

 I pay 0.005 and don't complain! and on GDAX I pay even higher, so it's a good fee to have!
