This site is a little bit pointless when you've got a ($400-1200 + $20) in 'fees' from a single trade of $10,000

As the title says, due to the rediculous pricing of NZDT to any crypto, it seems a bit rediculous to have to pay as much as $1200 + $20 for a single trade for BTC worth $10,000. The fees on this exchange are far too high and the interface is far too poor to attract the masses.

you want to go into a bit more detail there, how did you arrive at these numbers for a single trade?

also no one is forcing you to be here, and fees are the lowest of any NZ/AUS exchange.

I'd be interested in knowing what the fees are, I can't find any information on what the fees are which makes it hard to make purchasing and selling decisions.

 Hey superbid,

Please find below one way of finding the fees for WITHDRAW:

OPTION 1.

  1. Click CoinInfo on top menu
  2. select coin on the right
  3. on the left side of the page you will have coin info
  4. Under the rating stars you have Information / Links / Rating / Settings
  5. Click Settings
  6. Here you go! all fees and min/max volumes to trade and confirmations.

OPTION 2.

  1. hover over Wallets link (the B sign left to your username on top right of the page)
  2. click the Withdraw link
  3. choose currency (from drop down list or enter the name)
  4. Click Next
  5. On next screen you fill in the amount and on the right of the amount you will see the Net amount you will get in your wallet and the fee amount.

For the TRADING fee:

  1. Hover over EXCHANGE
  2. Clcik MARKETS
  3. Choose coin
  4. Under the big graphic you will have BUY and SELL.
  5. on the 4th line is the fee you pay for the transaction you will make.
  6. if the transaction is not operated and you cancel it the fee is not deducted from your account.

Cheers!

This is NOT an AUS exchange! It doesn't even accept Aussie dollars!

Silly Xan. MrFloppy is pointing out (true or not) that the fees are the lowest of any NZ/AUS exchange. I.e. implying that compared to other NZ exchanges and Aus exchanges the fee percentage here is lower.

I tried not to reply to this as it doesn't really need an answer but couldn't stop thinking about it. Especially as it had captials and being so authoritive :-)

The OP is completely incorrect. The fees on a single trade of $10,000 are exactly $20 for the buyer, and $20 for the seller (0.2% trade fee).  There are no other fees at all from Cryptopia.  I have no idea where you get the $400-1200 figure from, there is no such thing.

The market price can be more expensive or cheaper than other NZ options depending on who is buying/selling as it is completely set by what people put orders in at.  From what I've seen it is more often than not cheaper than other NZ options.  However, if you don't want to buy what is sitting in the sell orders, then put your own buy order in and chances are it'll be filled.
