HEY I CAN'T HEAR YOU IN FULL :P

whatever... nice to see activity here and that there is a community which tries to drive the things forwards...

but some points i don't like on the announcement or the idea of a swap, that's why i report following notes

...
swap existing corgi with a total off 100billion coins to 10billion or even 1billion

...

less coins, higher value.

...

notes1: 9/1/2015 2:58:23 PM

Seems logical, but is not true.

The total market cap could be less, even after a swap! The value is made by purpose and use only. Means, supply and demand on the trade market.

I'm not against a swap and less coins, CORGi dont need a billion coins, since we have 8 dezimal places...

...
it will change to a hybrid algorithm pos/pow to help ensure corgi is mined long into the future.
...

pos is much more cost efficient also

...

notes1: 9/1/2015 2:58:23 PM

Yes, POS is more cost efficient. But lower costs, means lower value, because the effort/work, to generate the blockchain and transfer coins, is low at the same time.

...
i personally say yes to change
...
notes1: 9/1/2015 2:58:23 PM

I wouldn't say no, even when i think CORG is doing well at the moment. For that what it is...

But is there someone who perform this changes? (technically)

Further...

On this barely worth mentioning other place, where you write about CORG, there you mention, the coin will be mined out in 3 months...

What exactly means this?

Ok worded wrong, less coins hopefully higher value.

hybrid pos/pow has been suggested

Minerftw has put himself forward to carry out the change.

Existing corgi will be mined out in months to come, then lower block rewards, no incentive to mine with minimal block rewards

in the current rate of rewards corgi will be mined out in 3 months and do nothing after it anymore.

Plan is to make a new chain and swap the 100 bil total to a 1 bil amount and turn the coin into a hybrid (someone mentioned Sprouts as a good example)

that way we can go on for ages and make the coin fun again for ppl that want to mine and for ppl that want to stake.

Calcing is biggest part to get over with because incentives for miners need to be slightly higher then pos ppl. also we need to find a ideal way for % for new ppl to start with as pos to keep the coin attractive.

Wallet will get a brand new design and notes1 can handle the swap if we go to that.

Because of current swap ration im thinking of a 1:100 swap would occure and from total coins we will have 90 mil still to mine/pos so that can take ages or be mined out fast.

A 1:200 swap would relieve new chain more and we have then half chain to mine and pos for a long living coin. (or make swap and total coins 2 bil is an option also)

any input would be nice from the community so i can start.

1 to 100 swap and make total 2 bil

or

1 to 200 swap and make total 1 bil

yo, i would like 1 to 100 also
and i would appreciate a very low POS reward, something between 0,5 % and 2,3% per year, not more

1 billion to 200 and pos/pow hybrid would make the coin go insane. Thanks

AFK GUYS AFK

Considered 1:1000 and high pos rate ?

Idk ..

Some guys like these high numbers and for others it looks like trash.

So just make it reasonable.

If pos is too high it will end with exactly the same problem, many coins!!!!

If go for high pos I suggest to make it 100 million coins or even less.

I do not really care for a hybrid algo.  Personally I mine btc or sometimes turn some of my miners to Sprouts or something ike that.  I would like maybe a lower coin count with higher pos.  I you look at a coin like TEK you can see that it holds value well because it appeals to investers as well as miners.  I like sha256 or scrypt even.  Otherwise I wil not mine it personally.  Even with a higher coin cout at 2 billion and pos, I don't think would be to much.  Specially if it got picked up by exchanges like bittrex or Cryptsy.  Coins would be spread out more anyway.  If it appeas to investers as well as miners like TEK does then I think it will do well.  TEK pos is about 40% if you hit it at the right time.  That rate is insanely to high ( have a good bit of TEK so I like it).  Hybrid algo does nothing for me though.  I am just old school there.

100 million coins and a decent pos rate 5-10 to keep people interested in keeping them in the wallet

I think this idea will be great for the coin, as the current max amount of coin is far too great.

It looks like Corgi is learning from the mistakes that Doge made :-)
