Whereabouts can I find my 16 digit key in case my phone gets nicked with my Google Authenticator on it for 2 step logins?

You're supposed to back that up when you set up 2FA. I wrote down my code on a piece of paper.

that the thing dowside the Qr code ?

Yeah there's a QR code that you can print out, or you could just write out the string of letters and numbers underneath it which is the same thing. It's the same idea with bitcoin private keys.

Just create a direct backup when you create one with fe an ipod which you do not use anymore.

When your phone is nicked you are able to create a new one quickly.

Just a thought. that way you do not have to store a piece of paper which can be found by somebody and used

Thank you for this option!  I've no idea why other exchanges haven't implemented this, not everyone likes to use a dumbphone for 2fa, etc.

If you didn't write down the code or print out the barcode when you first set it up then you've lost your chance to do so

You can, however, remove google 2fa from ALL your settings and then reapply it and you'll get a new code/barcode. Write it down this time!

You have to remove it from all settings, otherwise when you re-enable it it will just apply the existing google 2fa setup you already have, and you're supposed to be renewing it

Here's a new wrinkle to continuing issues here.  Finally got my Cryptopia device, and guess what, I get an error message that the serial number is invalid and Cryptopia is not responding to the e-mail they include with the device for them to activate it.
